Dear Neighbors:

This is a summary of the highlights of the June 30, 1990 meeting of your Facilities Management Board.

Our capable chairperson wasn't able to be at this meeting and asked me, Bernie Phaneuf, to substitute for her.

We can tell Summer is here as we wait to get out on route 6A and see the tennis players line up 15 to 20 minutes for 5pm sign up to select their favorite time to play.

Our new Grounds Committee is co-chaired by Evelyn Donnelly and John Lobingier, other members having been approved are Fred Nichols and Carol Smith. The Grounds Committee will add another member from Phase IV in the near future.

The new equipment for the playground is now being installed.

Evelyn Donnelly reported additional wording is now added to Variance Forms: If approved, this Variance Request Form shall become part of any Purchase and Sale Agreement involving this unit. Thus the responsibility for the maintenance, insuring and replacing (if necessary) the approved items, alterations and additions shall pass to each successor owner." She also reported that Bartlett Tree experts will be checking our trees for blight and give us recommendations. The Gas Company will meet with owners in Landing Lane and Grove Lane to discuss price and details of gas heat.

Cars and trucks traveling too fast in Sea Pines continue to be a problem. Please, everyone make an effort to slow down. The Grounds Committee is surveying the location for a sign and placement of a temporary, portable speed bump to help with this problem.

Painting is completed in Overlook, Friendship, Hollow and Knoll. O.C. Smith, Painting Contractor, and his highly competent staff, should be congratulated for a highly professional painting service, many compliments have been received from home owners.

Sincerely,

Bernard V. Phaneuf

PS: Speed, etc.
From the reasonable rules, the speed limit in Sea Pines is 15mph. Also note dogs are not allowed on grass areas or garden plots.
