NEWS FROM SEA PINES

Dear Neighbors,

It seems as if the Fourth of July to Labor Day takes about ten minutes. I can't believe that our fabulous summer is over and the fall season has begun.

Various areas of Sea Pines (Overlook) are continuing to add underground sprinklers, this is very gratifying to the FMB. It would be great to have our entire complex watered by underground irrigation.

The grounds and maintenance committee has found a better grade of replacement window than we are currently using. They will maintain the same exterior appearance and their insulating qualities are vastly superior. Please remember that you must obtain a variance before you can add or replace any windows. The pool will close for the season on Monday, September 27.

Congratulations to Bernie Phaneuf for winning his division in the Orleans Open Tennis Tournament, and congratulations to Mary Leone for being first in the food line at the amazingly successful and popular Sea Pines clam bake. This summer should leave us all with many pleasant memories.

The fall season also is a transition period for the FMB as it is the time we begin to discuss and formulate the next year's budget. Our first pass will be at the October 2 FMB meeting. If you have any desires or concerns., this is the time to voice them and let us know how you would like to have your money spent. The meeting will start at 8:30am in the clubhouse and I hope to see you there.
