SEA PINES HOMEOWNERS' ASSOCIATION

September 7, 1988

Dear Homeowner:

Our swimming pool will be closed on September 27. Thanks to the pool chairman Jim Fowler and his committee, our pool ran smoothly. Thanks also to Sue Young, our life guard, who did an excellent job.

Bob Grogan, our acting treasurer, gave us the first 7 months financial report and in summary: "We are right on track overall."

All committee chair people that have budget requests must submit their requests to me in writing by October 3, in preparation for the October 15 meeting.

Commonwealth Electric will put in a new service from Route 6A along Sea Pines Drive to Landing Lane. It will be unsightly for about three weeks. The existing line will be left in until the switch over takes place. ComElectric will photograph the landscape and restore it on completion. This construction is on Sea Pines Drive only. There will be a notification at change-over time.

Unfortunately, the delinquency rate for the monthly condo payments has become a concern. This trend has to be stopped now. 24 owners are now overdue, 15.89%. On October 15, the finance committee will give the FMB their recommendations to solve this problem.

ComElectric will have a hearing on rates September 26 or 27. If they get what they want, our electric costs could go up 20%. Maximum input at these hearings may help keep rates down.

The street and house numbering system here at Sea Pines must be redesigned to improve emergency response of our excellent town service. This has been started but not completed. Will someone call me and volunteer to undertake this project?

A review of a few rules:

Sincerely,

Bernie Phaneuf
