September 24, 1990
Dear Homeowners,
Just a quick up-date to let you know your Facilities Management Board, which met on September 22, as well as many homeowners are still functioning in your behalf.
- Larry Bernhardt (Knoll Lane) is heading up a group to re-look at the Rules and Regulations, reduce the number of pages and make all Rules and Regulations available to you, your guests, or renters. Standing Committees are making suggestions for changes by December 1, and we hope to have new materials for you by Spring.
- Also, as part of this process another Committee chaired by Bob Shiels is examining ways that we can put some "teeth" into some of our Rules and Regulations! Towing, fines, stickers, warnings?? Our By-Laws allow fines. This Committee will be making recommendations to the Board after the first of the year.
- Budget requests are due in to the Board Chair by October 15, 1990 and the Board will be working hard in its next two meetings to establish a balanced, reasonable budget.
- Major pruning by Coy's Brook is still taking place at Sea Pines.
- Judi Bernhardt wants me to thank all of you who helped with the plantings for the front entrance, this Spring and Fall. She is still looking for a half barrel for plantings. I might add - thanks to all Committee members who continue to make Sea Pines operate and function so well.
- We particularly need to applaud Jim Fowler ad his crew for a successful block party. A nice new Sea Pines innovation.
You don't have to drive far on the Cape these days to see massive cranberry picking, dry and wet. Fall is here!
Regards to all,
Elizabeth Ann Liddle, Chair FMB
