Dear Homeowners:
The Sea Pines Facilities Management Board met on Saturday, December 1, 1990, finalized and approved the Sea Pines Budget for 1991. After three years of no increase in Maintenance fees, I need to report that you will have a two percent (2%) increase beginning January 1, 1991 in your individual Maintenance fee. The increase is due primarily to increases in general facilities (e.g. electricity), personnel (e.g. maintenance staff), and general maintenance (e.g. repair and upkeep in buildings beginning to show wear). Although I had hoped we could maintain level funding, it is impossible and only feel positive that we have been able to keep the increase so low. I wish to thank Bob Grogan, Treasurer, for a continuing superb job in monthly as well as budget preparation materials. Mercantile is also to be commended for their excellence in keeping the Board systematically informed and their budget work.
A reminder - no plumber or maintenance personnel will have access to your unit/home for winterizing after January 1, 1991, unless the plumber has a key for entrance. This would also apply to re-opening a unit. It seems in the past one plumber had access to keys and you did not need to make plans for entrance. Be aware this is no longer true. You or your delegate (a neighbor) must provide entrance.
The annual Holiday Party will be on Saturday, December 15, 1990 from 5:30-7pm. BYOB. I hope many of you will be able to attend and enjoy a Sea Pines Homeowners gathering.
