NEWS FROM SEA PINES

Dear Neighbors,

The second weekend in October is a sad one for the writer as we prepare to close our unit for the winter.

At our October 2nd board meeting we were visited by a representative of Colonial Gas Company. Her presentation was interesting and while the direct vented units will save some degree of money, they will only heat a limited area. Be sure you investigate fully before you sign up and be sure to have your unit evaluated so that the savings you hope for are realized. You will have to deal with another utility and will have a minimum charge even when you are not using gas.

We have made progress in our budgeting process and will conclude same over the next two months.

A car was stolen from Sea Pines. Although it does seem quite secure here, you should take the same precautions you would anywhere else (locking your car etc.)

Reasonable rule of the month: A reminder that pets are to be kept on a leash and the leash should be attached to a human hand! Also please be considerate of all your neighbors, use discretion as to where your pet relieves itself and please clean up afterwards.

Our next board meeting will be on November 6 at 8:30am in the Clubhouse, I hope to see you there!

It is just five months till we prepare to open our unit for the spring and summer season. Time passes so quickly!

Regards,

Richard Rose - Chairman FMB
